Willis Towers Watson senior leaders recognized for their achievements in commercial insurance and risk management

Alice Underwood and Mary O’Connor named ‘Women to Watch’

ARLINGTON, VA, December 4, 2017 — Willis Towers Watson (NASDAQ: WLTW), a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company, today announced that Alice Underwood and Mary O’Connor have been named “Women to Watch” by the Business Insurance CLM Women to Watch recognition program. The 12th annual Women to Watch awards honor professionals doing outstanding work in risk management and commercial insurance. Recipients are recognized for their leadership, accomplishments and commitment to the advancement of women and diversity in the insurance industry.

Based in New York, Underwood is the global leader of the company’s Insurance Consulting and Technology business, where she leads a team of 1,200 colleagues operating in 35 markets worldwide. She is responsible for strategy and business development to position Willis Towers Watson as the leading consultancy and technology solution provider for the insurance industry. In addition, Underwood is a Ph.D. mathematician, a recognized leader in the actuarial profession and sought after speaker across the insurance industry.

Based in London, O’Connor is the head of Client, Industry and Business Development in Great Britain, where she is responsible for the company’s integrated client business model to ensure clients can access the full breadth of Willis Towers Watson services and solutions. O’Connor also serves as the global leader of the company’s Financial Institutions Industry, which delivers risk and human capital solutions to banks, asset managers, insurers and FinTech companies. She is a dual-qualified U.S. and U.K. attorney and previously served as a senior regulator at the U.K. Financial Services Authority.
