Brian Parsons
Head of Willis Towers Watson, Canada
Brian is responsible for the strategic direction of the organization’s operations, with a focus on expanding Willis Towers Watson’s brand across Canada. He also works with Willis Towers Watson’s North American and Global leadership teams to ensure alignment with the firm’s commitment to design and deliver solutions that help clients manage risk, optimize benefits, and cultivate talent.
Nicolas Crook
Market Leader, Willis Towers Watson, Toronto
Nic has more than 25 years of experience working with HR and Finance executives to improve business performance through effective people and financial management, with a specialty in program design and union negotiations. He consults to some of Canada’s leading companies across most industries. Nic has a BMath from the University of Waterloo and is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries.
Laura Samaroo
Market Leader, Willis Towers Watson, Western Canada
Laura’s professional expertise includes more than 20 years of experience in assisting organizations achieve business goals through effective plan design, funding, risk management and executive pension arrangements. Laura holds a BSC in Statistics and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
Jean-Robert Élie
Market Leader, Willis Towers Watson, Montréal
Jean-Robert has over 25 years of consulting experience managing some of the largest and most complex clients in Montreal. Jean-Robert has a proven track record of success as an entrepreneur and business leader helping organizations achieve their goals through innovative solutions, particularly in the field of non-traditional employee benefit funding vehicles, such as employee benefit captives.
Jean-Robert graduated from the Université de Montréal, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in actuarial sciences. He also holds the designations of Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
Ofelia Isabel
Client Management Leader, Willis Towers Watson, Canada
Ofeila has over 20 years of experience in designing, developing and communicating integrated talent, reward and benefits programs, both in consulting and on the client side. Ofelia is dedicated to working with clients to improve their performance by helping them understand what attracts, retains and engages employees in their organization, and then working with them to develop and design programs that will make this happen. She is a Canadian Human Resources Professional, as well as a qualified actuary. She earned an honours degree in mathematics from the University of Waterloo and completed the Advanced Program in Human Resources Management at the Rotman Business School (University of Toronto).
Eric D’Amours
Client Services and Solutions Leader, Willis Towers Watson, Canada
With close to 30 years of experience in Canada and abroad in his role as client services and solution leader, Éric works to ensure that our clients have access to the best combination of services and solutions to accelerate their path to efficiency improvement, risk mitigation and revenue growth. During his career, Eric has been in a number of leadership positions and worked with a broad spectrum of organizations to capture M&A synergies and mitigate their cost increases and risks through people and program strategies. He received a degree in Actuarial Science from Université Laval and is a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
Demetri Demopoulos, FCIA, FSA
Retirement Co-Leader, Willis Towers Watson, Canada
Demetri brings more than 25 years of experience working with a broad spectrum of organizations across multiple industries. He provides strategic advice in all areas of retirement plan management and has led numerous large and complex change management and financial risk management projects. Demetri has a B.Sc. in actuarial science and economics from the University of Toronto. He is a fellow for the Society of Actuaries and a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
Michael Millns, FCIA, FIA
Retirement Co-Leader, Willis Towers Watson, Canada
Michael is a senior consulting actuary with 25 years of experience assisting clients in the management of the people and financial risks associated with their retirement arrangements. He has led many complex and challenging consulting assignments, including a significant number of plan design projects, plan mergers and splits, corporate mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and partial and full plan windups.
Michael has a BA in mathematics from the University of Oxford and is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Institute of Actuaries in England.
Ross Cristiano
Health and Benefits Leader, Willis Towers Watson, Canada
Ross has more than 20 years of experience working with some of the largest and most complex employers in Canada. His areas of expertise cover a broad range of topics including benefits design, implementation and financial management. In this role, Ross leads a team of multi-disciplinary professionals across Canada. Ross earned a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from Concordia University. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries.
John Haas
Corporate Risk and Broking Leader, Willis Towers Watson, Canada
John partners with clients and Willis Towers Watson experts to deliver cost effective risk management strategies. He has over 30 years of experience in domestic and international risk management in a broad number of sectors. His primary area of expertise includes risk identification and assessment and the design of risk transfer mechanisms for domestic and international clients. John earned a Bachelor of Arts designation from Bishop’s University.
France Dufresne
Talent and Communication Leader, Willis Towers Watson, Canada
France has over 25 years of experience in organizational effectiveness, talent and change management, executive assessment and coaching, employee engagement, HR effectiveness and leadership development. France holds an MBA from the Université du Québec à Montréal and is a Certified Industrial Relations Counsellor.
Amanda Voegeli
Rewards Leader, Willis Towers Watson, Canada
Amanda’s experience includes 20 years of consulting on compensation with Boards and senior leaders from a broad range of organizations across multiple industries to design pay arrangements that align with pay for performance strategy, compensation philosophy and risk profile. She has significant experience working with organizations in the event of merger, acquisition and IPO.
She guides our executive compensation, broad-based compensation and compensation software offerings. Amanda has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and she holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. She is also a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).
Luiz Farias
Investment Leader, Willis Towers Watson, Canada
Luiz has over 12 years of experience in investment management and consulting and has held several key positions within the financial industry in both Latin America and North America. Most recently, Luiz was the leader of Willis Towers Watson’s investment practice in Brazil. His areas of expertise includes Asset-Liability Management (ALM), portfolio construction, investment policy statement formulation and review, investment choices design, manager selection, and performance monitoring. He holds a degree in computer engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
Hélène Pouliot
Insurance Consulting and Technology Leader, Willis Towers Watson, Canada
Hélène specializes in capital and risk management, financial reporting, value-added performance measurement, reinsurance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. She is also a Society of Actuaries Certified Enterprise Risk Analyst and has a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Sciences from University of Laval.
