Willis Towers Watson today announced that it will relocate its Philadelphia, PA, office to 1735 Market Street in the city’s central business district, just two blocks west of its current location.

ARLINGTON, VA, October 22, 2018 — Willis Towers Watson (NASDAQ: WLTW), a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company, today announced that it will relocate its Philadelphia, PA, office to 1735 Market Street in the city’s central business district, just two blocks west of its current location. The company will lease three floors and occupy about 100,000 square feet. The build-out of the new space, which will feature an open-plan design, will begin mid-2019 and be ready for the company to take occupancy in April 2020.

The company maintains two other offices across the greater Philadelphia market, one each in Radnor, PA, and Mt. Laurel, NJ, and will reshape its Radnor space by also implementing an open-plan design in parallel with the move to 1735 Market Street. These new and redesigned offices will feature modern conveniences for the Willis Towers Watson workforce with ample collaborative spaces and enabling technology, which will foster more open, collaborative and connected ways of working.

“We’re all very excited about our upcoming move to 1735 Market Street, which will enable us to modernize our work environment and deliver our ‘three offices, one market’ real estate strategy for the Philadelphia area,” said Brad Messinger, greater Philadelphia market leader, Willis Towers Watson. “The future of work is taking shape today, and we’ll soon have three modern work environments close to where everyone lives — reinforcing Willis Towers Watson as the destination employer for talent across the greater Philadelphia market.”

“We’re thrilled to welcome Willis Towers Watson, a world-class company, to 1735 Market Street and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship,” said David Weinberg, executive vice president and COO, Equity Commonwealth, building owner.

Messinger added, “It’s also important for the convenience of our clients to maintain offices in Center City, the western Philadelphia suburbs and southern New Jersey, especially as we continue to grow our business by delivering strategic human capital and risk management solutions to employers across our market.”
