Willis Towers Watson recently sponsored the BVCA summit on 7-8 October.

The M&A team attended the 2020 BVCA summit last month, along with other experts, to discuss the risks likely to be found in a post COVID-19 environment, with discussion on how best to navigate them.

Alex Keville, Practice Leader M&A, FINEX Global and Emily Almond, Client Relationship Director, Global Solution Group, were part of the panel for the navigating M&A risks in a post COVID-19 environment session. This session focused on how the COVID-19 crisis has introduced new levels of risk and complexity for businesses that were unimaginable just 12 months ago. It also covers the changing ways of measuring, managing and mitigating transaction risk, and addresses the latest learnings.

This panel was moderated by Emily Almond, and panellists include Matt Hansen, a Partner at Financial Services Capital, Alexander Keville, Practice Leader for Mergers & Acquisitions at Willis Towers Watson, Amy Mahon, a Partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, Jana Mercereau, Head of Human Capital, M&A Practice for Great Britain at Willis Towers Watson, and Mark Williams, a Partner at Inflexion.
