James Kent

James Kent was appointed Global CEO of Willis Re in 2017. Based in London, he is responsible for Willis Re's worldwide operations.

Previously, James was Global Deputy CEO of Willis Re having been appointed to this position in December 2016. James also had the role of North America President of Willis Re and ran the U.S. operation in conjunction with Jim Bradshaw, CEO of Willis Re North America. James was charged with growing our Property, Casualty and Specialty operations throughout North America leading a collaborative and client focused organization.

Prior to his appointment as President of Willis Re North America, James ran the reinsurance operations for Willis Re Bermuda where he was responsible for developing new reinsurance business from Bermuda-domiciled companies and for managing inward business into the Bermuda reinsurance market. James was instrumental in establishing Willis Re's unique Bermuda platform and ensuring that the Bermuda operation became fully aligned with our worldwide network of offices, thus allowing our global clients to receive local representation when dealing with the Bermuda reinsurance market.

James joined Willis Re in 2004 from Aon Re (now Aon Benfield), where he served as Director for 13 years, producing and placing Property and Casualty treaty business. During his final two-and-a-half years at Aon, James served as Vice President of Aon Re of Bermuda.

Paddy Jago

Paddy has been a member of the Willis Re leadership team for more than a decade. Prior to his appointment to Global Chairman in 2015, he served as President since 2010. He held the role of Chairman of Willis Re North America from 2011 until 2018.

As Global Chairman, Paddy continues to lead Willis Re's global sales and growth efforts, business production and client relationship management with key clients in the U.S., the London market, and internationally. He is also responsible for driving Willis Re's Global Sales Model and leading the Willis Re Global Production Board to promote and drive new ideas and products to aid in winning and retaining clients.

Paddy joined Willis as Managing Director of Willis Re U.S. in 2005, bringing with him 30 years of experience in North American Reinsurance, and specializing in Property Treaty. Prior to joining Willis Re, he was at Aon Limited, where he was Chief Executive Officer of North America responsible for Property and Casualty Reinsurance.

Paddy joined Nicholson Chamberlain Colls (NCC) in 1990, four years before it was acquired by Aon Corporation, in order to set up a North American treaty reinsurance division, which he subsequently built into one of the largest in London over the next 15 years. In 2003, he was appointed CEO of North American.

Prior to joining NCC, he was with C. T. Bowring from 1981 to 1989, which sent him to work and train at the St. Paul Insurance Companies in 1983 for a year. On returning in 1984, Paddy moved up the ranks, becoming a full Director of Bowring Reinsurance in 1987.

Prior to Bowring, Paddy was with Willis Faber and Dumas on the North American facultative team (1976 to 1980). He began his career in 1975 at H.J. Symons, the oldest Lloyd's broker at the time.

Mark Hvidsten

Based in New York, Mark serves Willis Re clients globally, assists the Willis Re global businesses and is the leader of strategy and transformation.

He is also Chairman of Willis Re's Alternative Strategies division, responsible for providing leadership support and driving business strategies around the widening opportunities outside of Willis Re's mainstream P&C offering.

Mark has been a member of Willis Re's leadership team since 2002 and prior to his current role was Director of Strategy & Transformation.

He has also served as CEO of Willis's Capital Markets unit, which he created and developed, ultimately overseeing the creation of a robust ILS capability to operate within Willis Re's product neutral client offering. Before this, he built out Willis Re's Analytics and Solutions capabilities, and worked in London from 2002, filling a variety of production and management roles. Mark originally joined Willis in New York in 1997 to spearhead strategic consulting opportunities, integrating Willis's reinsurance resources to focus on clients' enterprise risk needs.

Mark has also held a variety of top executive positions with the Minet Group in the U.S., London and South Africa. His last appointment prior to joining Willis was as the New York-based Chairman and CEO of Minet Reinsurance International, Ltd.

Mark holds B.A. and B.S. (Honors) degrees, and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Insurance.

Andrew Newman

Along with the wider Willis Re Executive Committee, Andrew is responsible for driving Willis Re's sales and growth efforts, business production and client relationship management. He also leads Willis Re's Global Professional Liability and Casualty Groups.

Andrew joined Willis Re in February 2009 as an Executive Vice President and Managing Director. Prior to joining Willis Re, he spent 18 years at RK Carvill where he was responsible for the Specialty Lines business, which focused on Management, Professional, Healthcare and Specialist Liability clients leading production, structuring, and client placement in both the US, Bermuda and European markets.

Prior to joining Carvill, he spent 10 years at C T Bowring, part of Marsh, where he helped form Marsh's specialist Financial and Professional Lines business known as Finpro.

Chris Brook

Chris is our Global Chief Operations Officer, based in our London office. He is a member of our Executive Committee and Operating Committee.

His current responsibilities in capacity of Global COO include all post placement activities, operations and I.T.

Chris joined Willis Re in 1999 and his career has spanned Client Servicing, Placement and Operations in both our Ipswich and London offices. More recently Managing Director of our North American P&C broking team in London, and COO for Willis Re Specialty.

Tony Melia

Willis Re International covers Europe, Asia, Latin America and emerging markets business. As CEO of the division, Tony is responsible for reinsurance placements of some of the world's largest insurance groups. He is also a member of the Willis Re Global Practice Group.

Prior to his current role, Tony was Managing Director of Willis Re International covering all Continental European business within Willis Re. He joined Willis Re's London broking team in 1988, originally responsible for generating business growth, predominately motor liability in Southern Europe. During his career with Willis Re, Tony set up the company's first research and development team.

Tony is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Insurance and a Chartered Insurance Practitioner.

James Vickers

James has been with Willis for nearly 40 years, joining Willis Re in 1978 as a broker handling Asian Non Marine Treaty business.

As Chairman for Willis Re International his specific responsibilities include strategy and client development as well as senior client relationship management, particularly in the Japanese market. He is also a member of Willis Re's Operating Committee, which is responsible for the managing all aspects of Willis Re.

James is also a Director of Willis Group's principle UK subsidiary, Willis Limited, along with a number of other Willis Group Subsidiary Companies. He has extensive practical experience in the analysis, structuring and placement of large complex reinsurance programs and strong relationships with the senior management of all major global reinsurers.

James is a Chartered Insurer, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and Chairman of the London International Insurance Broker Association (LIIBA) Reinsurance Sub Committee.

Jim Bradshaw

Jim is responsible for Willis Re's North American operations, based in New York. Jim previously served as manager of the New York Property and Casualty office and led the Casualty Resource Group, a centralized resource dedicated to the aggregation and dissemination of casualty-specific insurance and reinsurance data, market intelligence and expertise within Willis Re.

Jim joined Willis Re in 2005 from Guy Carpenter, where during his last five years he served as Managing Director, primarily responsible for the management and placement of Casualty business. During his tenure of more than 20 years, he held a variety of positions, including two years in London (1991 to 1993), where he worked on new business and structured opportunities. Jim joined Guy Carpenter in 1983 as an Account Executive. He began his insurance career in 1982 at Chubb Insurance as a commercial lines underwriter.

Jim earned a B.S. degree in Economics and History at Tufts University in Medford, MA.

Thomas Wafer

Tom served as President of Third Point Reinsurance (USA) Ltd. from November 2014 prior to joining Willis Re in October 2017. He served as Chairman of Global Reinsurance for Alterra from March 2012 until the close of the Markel transaction in May 2013. Tom was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Reinsurance and President for Alterra Reinsurance USA Inc. from July 2011 until March 2012. He was President of Harbor Point Re U.S. and Harbor Point Services, Inc. since November 2009. From December 2005 until November 2009, he was Managing Director of International Underwriting for Harbor Point Re Limited and New Point Re in Bermuda. From September 1998 until December 2005, he was Managing Director of International Underwriting and Marketing at Chubb Re, Inc. From July 1980 until September 1998, Tom held various positions for Willcox, Inc. and Guy Carpenter, most recently as Managing Director and head of the International Division of Guy Carpenter New York. From 1979 to 1980, he was an underwriter in the Commercial Property Division, Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.

Tom earned a B.A. in Economics from Manhattanville College. He also holds an M.B.A. in Marketing from Fordham University.

Trey Hatcher

Trey was named to his current role in early 2018. Since 2017, Trey has been based in our Richmond office, having moved from our branch in Philadelphia.

In his prior role as Managing Director of the Branch Network, Trey oversaw Willis Re's 16 branch offices in the United States from 2007 to 2017. He also held senior account executive responsibilities for the production of new business and account management. In mid-2001, Trey was promoted to Executive Vice President from Senior Vice President.

Before joining Willis Re in 1994, Trey was with Towers Perrin for seven years, where he held the positions of Vice President and Principal. From 1984 to 1987, Trey spent three years in London with Willis Re. He began his career as an underwriter with Chubb & Son.

Trey is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and serves on the board of the Reinsurance Association of America as the co-chair of the Council of Reinsurers and Brokers.

Jeffrey Livingston

Jeffrey Livingston

Jeffrey rejoined Willis Re in 2017 with over 25 years of reinsurance and insurance experience.

Prior to his return, Jeffrey's most recent position was Director of Portfolio Solutions at Marsh where he focused on developing alternative placement solutions that maximize distribution, underwriting and capital efficiencies. Before that, he worked as Director of Business Development at a privately held E&S carrier, where his responsibilities included producer management and helping to create and implement profitable growth strategies.

From 1998 to 2013, as Executive Vice President with Willis Re for the first time, Jeffrey was responsible for new business production and client management, with an emphasis on casualty business. He also led Willis Re's Casualty Resource Group and was a regular instructor in Willis Re's training program. Jeffrey started at Willis Re as Vice President. He began his career as a treaty reinsurance broker at Sedgwick Re (Philadelphia).

Jeffrey holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia.

Gloria Hudak

Gloria joined Willis Re in 2005 as a Senior Vice President. She was promoted to Executive Vice President in April 2006 and served as the New York Branch Manager from 2012 to 2019.

Gloria joined Willis Re from Guy Carpenter, where she was a Managing Director, primarily responsible for the management and placement of Casualty business. She began her broking career at G.L. Hodson & Son, predecessor of Willis Re. Prior to this Gloria was a treaty underwriter at an MGA, Barrett Treaty Corp. Throughout her career of more than 30 years, she has worked on virtually all lines of P&C business.

Gloria earned a B.A. degree summa cum laude in Business from Molloy College, Rockville Centre, N.Y.

Mark Hansen

As Willis Re's North America Chief Operating Officer, Mark is responsible for managing Willis Re's core North American operations including Client Services, Contracts, In-House Legal Counsel and the US arm of the Willis Re Academy. Mark also works closely with Willis Re North America executive business leaders to ensure effective delivery of operational support.

Prior to his current role, Mark was a Property, Casualty and Workers Compensation broker focusing on opportunities in the Midwest and Florida.

Mark joined Willis Re in 2003 from JLT Re, where he was Vice President, producing and servicing property and casualty accounts. Previously, Mark was with E.W. Blanch Company (Benfield Blanch), rising to Vice President in 2002, focusing on property and casualty business. He started there as a student in their reinsurance training program in 1996.

Mark began his career in insurance with Federated Mutual Insurance as a field claims adjuster responsible for adjusting Property, Casualty and Workers' Compensation claims from a Workers' Compensation claim adjuster.

Mark earned a B.S. from North Dakota State University, where he majored in business Administration. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and the Associate in Reinsurance professional designations.

Brian Ingle

Brian Ingle

Brian leads the Willis Re North American team which provides actuarial, catastrophe modeling, enterprise risk management and financial advisory services to our clients.

Brian joined Willis Re in 2006 from Converium Re where he led their Workers' Compensation Practice, a team of underwriters, actuaries, contracts and claims personnel. Prior to this he served in various actuarial roles in both the primary and reinsurance markets. He began his career in 1988 at the Insurance Services Office, Inc.

Brian earned a B.A. degree in Math at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Graeme Moore

Graeme joined Willis Re as Executive Chairman of Willis Re's Global Specialty business in June 2014, also sitting on Willis Re's global operational and executive committees. He was appointed CEO of the division in August 2015, which incorporates the Non- Marine, Marine and Aviation operations.

Graeme joined Willis Re from Aon Benfield, where he served as CEO of the Global ReSpecialty segment for five years. He began his career at Steel Burrill Jones in 1986 until 1995, before joining Alexander Howden Limited as a Director of the Marine & Energy Reinsurance Division.

Jonathan Marsh

Jonathan has been part of the executive leadership team of Willis Re Specialty since 1998, responsible for the production and marketing of all global non-marine specialty business, in addition to being Account Executive for many major accounts.

As Deputy CEO he works closely with CEO Graeme Moore and Chairman Jerry Ridge to drive strategic growth and production across the division.

Jonathan joined Willis Re as an Executive Director of the non-marine team, responsible for production of London market retrocessional business. Prior to joining Willis Re, he worked for 13 years at E.W. Payne as a London market non-marine retrocessional broker.

Printhan Sothinathan

Printhan joined Willis Re in December 2016, he has a broad based insurance background that spans over 20 years. Previously at Navigators, he was Managing Director of Continental Europe and responsible for Corporate Development. Prior to that, he held a number of senior positions including that of Chief Strategy Officer (including responsibility for M&A), and latterly Interim Chief Operating Officer for Torus (now Star Stone). Over the past 10 years, Printhan has also led the Ceded Reinsurance function responsible for the structuring and purchase of reinsurance. His current responsibilities in Willis Re Specialty includes heading catastrophe modelling, actuarial and financial analysis function, and also leads the corporate solutions function within Specialty.
