Melbourne, Friday May 6, 2016 – Willis Towers Watson is pleased to announce that Martin Goss has been appointed Director of Investments for Australia.

Naomi Denning, Managing Director of Investments Asia-Pacific said: “Martin was the natural successor for this role and we are delighted that he has accepted the position.

“Martin has been a senior member of our Australian Investments team for nine years, and is exceptionally well-placed to lead the team and oversee implementation of our successful business strategy. He will sustain the momentum and maintain the culture of a great team.”

Denning said Willis Towers Watson continues to identify opportunities to broaden the Investments business in Australia. “Martin and his team will evolve and grow the business, as well as provide excellent continuity of service for our clients. We are committed to giving our clients a competitive edge through the depth of our local and global resources and our commitment to be strongly aligned with our clients’ goals and objectives.”

The team currently has 45 investment professionals based in Melbourne and Sydney, and consults to some of Australia’s largest and most respected superannuation funds and institutions. Andrew Boal, Managing Director for Willis Towers Watson in Australia, says the Investments team has always prided itself on its deep and enduring relationships with clients. Boal commented: “The Australian team is exceptionally well-resourced with considerable depth and strength. It has a passion for innovation and independent thought leadership and that is geared squarely towards helping our clients excel. I am confident our unique value proposition to clients will continue to develop under Martin’s leadership.”

Martin Goss joined Willis Towers Watson in 2007 and headed client consulting for the Investments team in Australia and chaired the Australian Investment Committee. He is also a member of the global Thinking Ahead Group.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, a Masters in Economics from Macquarie University and a graduate diploma in Applied Finance & Investments from Finsia. His appointment takes place with immediate effect.
